Father Bob Maguire; a Massive Community Advocate

Father Bob Maguire is a massive community advocate and well known Catholic priest. He recently visited Bendigo to meet with Bendigo for Homeless Youth supporters, and has offered to be a guest speaker at the Gala Dinner Fundraiser Event in October. Father Bob has done more than just show his support for our local fundraising appeal, Bendigo for Homeless Youth, he has given hope to those in need.

Bendigo For Homeless Youth

in Australia, there are over 44,500 homeless people. Nearly half of those are under 25 year of age. There are over hundreds of children in Bendigo, who are without a place to live, they just need a home.

Bendigo musicians have answered the call to unite and address homelessness in the local Bendigo community by putting their talents to good use, to write and record a CD album to be released in October.

Fundraising merchandise will include T-Shirts and Wristbands available for purchase. Throughout the year all proceeds go towards raising the $100,000 for organisations directly supporting the homeless youth of Bendigo.

Of course there’s the ‘Unplugged for Charity’ fundraiser events held every third Sunday of the month at the Golden Vine hotel. A stunning line up of artists will be performing, again every dollar goes directly to the cause.

Together we can raise the $100,000 before Christmas time.
